Included in your rental is breakfast preparation (food cost separate), daily housekeeping, caretaker, and full concierge service. Personal laundry service is included (limited to one big load per day).  We also include bathroom amenities, beach chairs, some surfboards, longboards, and boogie-boards are available upon request.

Casa Lanui is beachfront, respecting the protected 50 meters of nature between high tide and the villa. The beaches of Malpaís, Santa Teresa and Hermosa are lined one after another, connected by a continuous beach or a dirt road that runs parallel to the coast within approximately 200 meters from it. This road extends 10 kilometers and is dotted with a variety of small shops and restaurants. Many of them are within walking distance from North Creek Estate and your concierge will be happy to point you in the direction of our favorites.

The town of Santa Teresa is only a 3-minute drive south of North Creek or a 10–20-minute walk away on the beach. This is where most of the shops and restaurants are located.

Malpaís begins further south of Santa Teresa, at the crossroads where the ATMs are located, and is recognized as the 4 km stretch between that point and the fishing port.  Reaching there North Creek Estate takes about 10 minutes by car or 45 min.-1.5 walk along the beach.

Hermosa is a sandy beach and surf point located north of North Creek Estate. You can walk for 45 minutes to reach it or take a 10-minute drive.

Of course! We are happy to arrange transportation within Costa Rica at no extra service fee, just the added price of the transportation itself.  We recommend flying to Santa Teresa, as it is only a 20-minute flight in contrast to a 5–6-hour ground transfer, but here is some more information to help you decide:

San José airport (SJO) is approximately 5 hours away, and a private taxi for four people costs around $350.00 Liberia International airport, is 4.5 hours away, we can arrange a private taxi for four people, costing $315 or help you book a local flight, average cost $135.00.  

Tambor airstrip (TMU) is only 45 minutes away, and a taxi drive for up to four people from there costs approximately $80.00.  Extra people pay an extra $15 per head more or less. There is a new airstrip near Casa Lanui, in Manzanillo-Santa Teresa, just 35 minutes away for charter flights only, a private taxi to the villa costs $60. Please inquire about charter flight rates, ideal for big groups and families.

Can you recommend a boat to go fishing, snorkeling, sunset cruise?

The locally-available boat trips for fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving or cruising are on small fishing “pangas”, which fit approximately 6 people. Your concierge is happy to help you arrange one or more boats to fit your needs. A luxury yacht can also be reserved with our sister company Playgrounds, but it might require several days’ notice.

Can you arrange personal surf lessons? 

Yes, we have great contact with the best in Santa Teresa. Mick Horrocks is an Australian pro- coach who has lived in Santa Teresa for 15 years and knows the place inside out. Everything is possible from private one-on-one lessons, group lessons and all the way up to pro-coaching with video analysis.

Yes. It is a very popular way to move around town and you can rent a quad for approximately $70.00 per day and a side by side for $ 170.

Chef service is available at an additional cost. The price depends on the number of people and meals. In Santa Teresa there is an array of private chefs available and your concierge will be sure to reserve the one who better suits your needs.

We do.  Pre-stock up service is available at an additional cost. Grocery shopping is included with chef service, since they prefer to choose the ingredients, they work with, and the rates for their service will vary depending on the chef you decide on.

Yes, we can help you book them and the cost is roughly $100 for an hour massage per person, depending on the technique requested.  There is two professional massage table in Casa Lanui and we can request more from the masseurs when necessary. These tables can be set up in designated areas, outdoors or indoors.

Both are available at an additional cost.  The price depends on the number of people taking the class.  They will bring mats and equipment when needed.

Santa Teresa is a safe town. As a visual reference, you will not find barbed wires or high walls around properties, and on the one long street you will see surfers and young families walking confidently day or night. It is important, however, that you continue to exert common sense as you would anywhere else: use the villas safe boxes, lock your car and don’t leave valuables inside, don’t venture into dark places, etc.  This also entails not going to the beach at night.

In order to increase your safety, we have installed hotel-style safes in each bedroom and we have a night security guard on the property from 6:00pm to 6:00am.

There are four ATMs in Santa Teresa, two located at the entrance to town from Cóbano. One is Banco Nacional and the other is BCR. You may find one inside the local Super Market Ronny’s #1 and the newest Wave Boutique Mall.
